When Will Amazon Start Shipping Cash?
My coworkers and friends know that I buy everything from Amazon, including things like socks, pillows, and laundry detergent.
What don’t I get from Amazon? Perishables like milk, drinks are too heavy to ship, and cash from the ATM. But that last one seems silly if you think about it. Why can’t I order 20 ten dollar bills from Amazon? Security shouldn’t be an issue below a certain amount, say $500; I’ve ordered more ‘expensive’ things. Just a funny thought…
P.S. I recommend this life hack. Be sure to get Amazon Prime.

I guess it’s true that cash doesn’t have very good margins…

Hmmm - wonder if New York and Texas would charge them sales tax on cash? hehe

Buying cash from Amazon wouldn’t be very cost effective. Ignoring the obvious inability for Amazon to make a mark up on it (or even allowing them to make, say, $2 a withdrawal, as some ATMs do), your credit card company will treat the sale of cash as a cash withdrawal, usually resulting in a 2-5% commission, as well as instant interest (no interest free period on most cards with cash withdrawals). A pretty expensive way to get cash generally

Cash would be a huge security problem. Mail carriers generally don’t steal mail now because almost nobody mails cash. If people started doing so, you’d see that start happening on a huge scale.

@Matt - that’s why you get your cash delivered with a tracking number. Mail thieves tend to ignore messing with tracked mail as they know someone is waiting on it and might flip their shit if it goes missing. Interesting idea, although I don’t use cash enough to use it much if it does happen. plastic all the way.

Wait, you order everything from Amazon — what do you need the cash for?

With Amazon Prime, you can even get organic moo juice (http://www.amazon.com/Horizon-Organic-Reduced-Chocolate-8-Ounce/dp/B000LKZ3GA) shipped for free.

If you lived in seattle, you could use amazon fresh (http://fresh.amazon.com)
