Senior .NET Software Engineers

Responsibilities

• Ownership of large parts of Xobni's core code
• Write code that is both functional and elegant
• Diagnose performance and functional problems
• Participate in design discussions, perform analyses, and plan software and feature improvements

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related field
• 5+ years experience in designing / developing Windows desktop application
• Proficiency in C#
• Experience using Mono is a plus.
• Significant experience with Windows technologies (Win32, COM, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with developing for Outlook (OOM, VSTO, COM Addins, etc.) is a plus.

Senior Server Engineers

Xobni is quickly expanding and we're looking for a Server Engineer / Web Architect who can help lay the foundation for our growing server team. Ideally you've worked with LAMP, live and breathe a flavor of Linux, and know how to structure code in a team setting.

This is a high growth opportunity position and it will be challenging.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a software developer (internships count)
• 2+ years with PHP/MySQL/Apache
• 2+ years experience working on a server side team of 3 or more.
• You must believe that test driven development is good.
• Project Management Skills demonstrated by the ability to break down larger tasks (2 man months) into smaller ones and then deliver.
• Knowledge of APT, Python, Javascript, Memcached, JSON, ORMs, WSGI and ROR is a plus
• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or similar/relevant field preferred
• Willingness to run Outlook (inside of a VM ok)

Metrics Engineer

QA Engineer

Are you constantly finding bugs on web sites and in software and can't help but send email to the developers? Do you get a kick out of creating test matrices? Is it your goal to find every damn bug in the product so the users don't have to deal with them? Then you may be the QA Engineer we're looking for to join the team!

Responsibilities

• Testing the web, client, server, and mobile components of the product
• Working closely with software engineers, product management, designers, and other QA on a daily basis
• Using JIRA for bug reporting, ad hoc testing, test case creation, and the usual QA tasks
• Taking ownership of the quality of the product and working to improve it every day

Requirements

• 4-6 years of manual blackbox and greybox testing of web and/or client applications, having seen multiple projects through their lifecycle
• Solid experience with various flavors of Windows. You can install the OS and know your way around the registry, often find yourself fixing the computers of friends and family
• You are equally comfortable performing ad hoc testing on a feature you've never seen before as you are creating or following a comprehensive test plan
• You can work independently and juggle priorities in a fast-paced workplace, can figure out what needs to be done with little instruction and can stay focused on the task at hand. When something needs to be done you take the initiative and do it
• Excellent communication skills are a must, both written and verbal, for filing and discussing bugs

• Experience testing server products, experience testing mobile products
• Whitebox testing, automated testing
• Experience with Agile development process

• MS/BS in Computer Science or related background preferred
